A Dublin-based bakery business needed a funding partner to accelerate its expansion beyond its government backed ‘start-up with scale’ balance sheet.
Funding Solution
Upstream provided a bespoke solution with a traditional receivables’ facility based on insured assets and blue-chip obligors. Initially, a €1.5 million facility was provided to refinance bank working capital lines, scaling to €3 million against a fully insured debtor book, with an additional €4 million under term debt released from leveraging the company’s trading premises.
This Structured Asset Based Lending package included working capital facilities across stock and debtors, supply chain and purchase order funding, plant and machinery leverage and property funding, enhancing the relationship and successfully supporting ongoing confident and focused growth plans.
